Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
YaSeen. 1 By oath of the wise Qur’an. 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 on a straight path, 4 The sending down of the Mighty, the Most Merciful 5 In order that thou mayest admonish a people, whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain heedless (of the Signs of Allah). 6 The Phrase has become obligatory upon most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 Surely We have put on their necks fetters up to the chin, so their heads are raised; 8 And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. 9 It makes no difference to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they will not believe. 10 Thou only warnest him who follows the Remembrance and who fears the All-merciful in the Unseen; so give him the good tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
