In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
YA SIN. 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 Truly, you (O Muhammad SAW) are one of the Messengers, 3 on a straight path; 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see). 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 We shall surely raise the dead to life and We record what they did and the traces of their deeds that they have left behind. We have encompassed that in a Clear Book. 12

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
