Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ya, Seen. 1 Consider this Qur'an full of wisdom: 2 Lo! thou art of those sent 3 on a straight path; 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Undoubtedly, it (their disbelief) has proved true for most of them, so they will not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 Alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or thou hast not warned them, they do not believe. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Surely, it is We who revive the dead and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; We have counted everything in a Clear Book. 12
