Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya-Sin. 1 By the wise Qur'an, 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 and that you follow the right path. 4 [This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 5 That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 Whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 10 You can warn only him who follows the Admonition and fears the Merciful Lord without seeing Him. Give such a one good tidings of forgiveness and a generous reward. 11 It is We who bring the dead to life and records the deeds of human beings and their consequences (of continual effects). We keep everything recorded in an illustrious Book. 12
