Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by Ya Sin 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 This is a revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 Behold, around their necks We have put shackles, reaching up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up; 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
