Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya Sin 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 Verily thou art of the sent ones, 3 on a straight path, 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them in veils so that they cannot see: 9 Whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 10 You only warn he who follows the Remembrance and fears the Merciful in the Unseen. Give to him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 It is We who bring the dead to life and records the deeds of human beings and their consequences (of continual effects). We keep everything recorded in an illustrious Book. 12
