Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
YA SIN. 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 Verily thou art of the sent ones, 3 On the Straight Path. 4 (and this Qur'an) is a revelation from the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless. 6 Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not. 7 Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier, so We have covered them, so that they see not. 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
