Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O THOU human being! 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 upon a Straight Path. 4 with a revelation sent down by the Mighty One, the Merciful, 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 Indeed, the word [of God's condemnation] is bound to come true against most of them: for they will not believe. 7 We have enchained their necks up to their chins. Thus, they cannot bend their heads (to find their way). 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward. 11 Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before (them, and their footprints. And all things We have kept in a clear Register. 12
