Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Yaa-Seen (Alphabets of Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 Most surely you are one of the apostles 3 on a straight path, 4 by [virtue of] what is being bestowed from on high by the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 We have bound their necks with fetters up to their chin, so that their heads are raised and cannot be lowered. 8 And We have placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier, so We have covered them, so that they see not. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
