In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya'. Sin. 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 Lo! thou art of those sent 3 On a Straight Way. 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The Phrase has become obligatory upon most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 We have put fetters around their necks which reach up to their chins so that they are standing with their heads upright, 8 and We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier; and We have covered them, so they do not see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 We shall surely raise the dead to life and We record what they did and the traces of their deeds that they have left behind. We have encompassed that in a Clear Book. 12
