And a sign for them is the dead earth; We gave it life and We produced from it grain, so they eat from it. 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Holy is He who created all things in pairs; of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and other things which they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 how the sun moves in its orbit and this is the decree of the Majestic and All-knowing God; 38 We have appointed stages for the moon till it returns in the shape of a dry old branch of palm-tree. 39 It behoves not the sun to overtake the moon, neither does the night outstrip the day, each swimming in a sky. 40 And a sign unto them is that We bear their offspring in a laden ship. 41 And We have created for them the like of it, what they will ride on. 42 Should We so wish, We can drown them, and there will be none to heed their cries of distress, nor will they be rescued. 43 Unless by mercy from Us and as comfort for a while. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 None of the signs of their Lord ever comes to them but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, 'Expend of that God has provided you,' the unbelievers say to the believers, 'What, shall we feed such a one whom, if God willed, He would feed? You are only in manifest error!' 47 And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 Then they cannot make bequest, nor can they return to their own folk. 50
