A token unto them is the dead earth. We revive it, and We bring forth from it grain so that they eat thereof; 33 And We have placed therein gardens of the date-palm and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein, 34 so that they may eat of the fruit thereof, though it was not their hands that made it. Will they not, then, be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 While the sun keeps revolving in its orbit. This is the dispensation of the mighty, all-knowing (God). 38 And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk. 39 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 40 And a sign to them is that We bear their offspring in the laden ship. 41 And We have created for them the like of it, what they will ride on. 42 and if We will, We drown them, then none have they to cry to, neither are they delivered, 43 Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 They will not have to wait long. When the Day of Judgment comes, it will only take a single blast of sound to strike them while they are quarrelling with one another. 49 And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return. 50
