There is a sign for them in the lifeless earth. We revive it and We produce grain from it of which they eat. 33 And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines and We make springs to flow forth in it, 34 so that they may consume the fruits and whatever their hands prepare. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Limitless in His glory is He who has created opposites in whatever the earth produces, and in men's own selves, and in that of which [as yet] they have no knowledge. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip it of the day and lo, they are in darkness. 37 While the sun keeps revolving in its orbit. This is the dispensation of the mighty, all-knowing (God). 38 And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 and created for them similar things to ride. 42 Should We so wish, We can drown them, and there will be none to heed their cries of distress, nor will they be rescued. 43 But (by) mercy from Us and for enjoyment till a time. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 Never does any Sign of their Lord come to them, but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
