And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines and We make springs to flow forth in it, 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 A token unto them is night. We strip it of the day, and lo! they are in darkness. 37 While the sun keeps revolving in its orbit. This is the dispensation of the mighty, all-knowing (God). 38 And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm-leaf. 39 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride. 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 But (by) mercy from Us and for enjoyment till a time. 44 When they are told, "Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy," (they turn back). 45 Never does any Sign of their Lord come to them, but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 47 They also say: 'When will this promise be, if what you say is true' 48 They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes. 49 Then they will be unable to make a will, nor shall they return to their kinsmen. 50
