And a sign unto them is the dead land. We quicken it and thereout We bring forth grain, so that thereof they eat. 33 And We have placed therein gardens of the date-palm and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein, 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him Who created pairs of all things, of what the earth grows, and of their kind and of what they do not know. 36 Of the signs for them is how We separated the day from the night and thus they remained in darkness; 37 And the sun -- it runs to a fixed resting-place; that is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 We have created for them the like of it in which they ride. 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while. 44 And when it is said to them, 'Fear what is before you and what is behind you; haply you will find mercy' -- 45 Never came a token of the tokens of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it! 46 And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 47 And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful? 48 They are only waiting for a single blast that will seize them, but they will go on contending. 49 And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return. 50
