And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 that they might eat of its fruits. It was not their hands that made them. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 A sign for them is the night. From it We withdraw the day and they are in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night surpass the day; and each one of them floats in its orbit. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto whereon they ride. 42 And if We will, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout (or helper) for them (to hear their cry for help) nor will they be saved. 43 It is only Our Mercy (that rescues them) and enables enjoyment of life for a while. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 Never does any Sign of their Lord come to them, but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 They also say: 'When will this promise be, if what you say is true' 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 Therefore neither able to make a will, nor returning to their homes. 50
