And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. 33 And there We made gardens of palms and vines, and in it We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him, who created all the pairs of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they know not. 36 And [of Our sway over all that exists] they have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day - and lo! they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runneth to its appointed term: that is the disposition of the Mighty, the Knowing. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark (of Noah). 41 And We have created for them similar ships, in which they now ride. 42 If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered, 43 unless it be by an act of mercy from Us and a grant of life for a [further span of] time. 44 When they are told, "Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy," (they turn back). 45 and whenever a revelation out of their Lord's revelations comes to them, they ignore it. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will be unable to make a will, nor shall they return to their kinsmen. 50
