Let the dead earth be a Sign for them. We gave it life and produced from it grain whereof they eat. 33 and [how] We make gardens of date-palms and vines [grow] thereon, and cause springs to gush [forth] within it, 34 so that they may eat of the fruit thereof, though it was not their hands that made it. Will they not, then, be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 It behoves not the sun to overtake the moon, neither does the night outstrip the day, each swimming in a sky. 40 That We bore their progeny in the laden ark is a sign for them; 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 We could have drowned them if We pleased, and none would have answered their cry for help, nor would they have been saved, 43 But (by) mercy from Us and for enjoyment till a time. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 Indeed, not one of your Lord's signs comes to them without their turning away from it, 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 and they will not even be able to make a testament, nor to return to their households. 50
