If We grant long life to any, We cause him to be reversed in nature: Will they not then understand? 68 We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear: 69 In order that it may warn him who is alive, and that the sentence may be justified on the infidels. 70 Do they not see that, among the things which Our hands have fashioned, We have created for them cattle of which they are the masters, 71 And have subjected the animals for them, so they ride some animals and eat some? 72 From cattle they get milk and other benefits. Will they not then give thanks? 73 And they have appointed Gods other than Allah, that perhaps they may be helped! 74 It is not in their power to help them; but they (the worshippers) are unto them a host in arms. 75 Therefore let not their speech grieve you; surely We know what they do in secret and what they do openly. 76 Hath not man seen that We have created him from a drop of seed? Yet lo! he is an open opponent. 77 And he propoundeth for us a similitude, and forgetteth his creation; he saith: who shall quicken the bones when they are decayed? 78 Say: "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life [once again,] seeing that He has full knowledge of every act of creation: 79 who has made for you out of the green tree fire and lo, from it you kindle.' 80 Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yea! and He is the Creator (of all), the Knower. 81 His Being alone is such that when He wills a thing to be, He but says unto it, "Be" — and it is. 82 So glory be to Him, in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and unto whom you shall be returned. 83
