The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Verily your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
