In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
