The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
