The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the rangers ranging 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
