The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
