The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
