The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
