The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our forefathers? 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
