The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
