The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Verily your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
