The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
