The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
