The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
