The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And our forefathers? 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
