The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
