The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 and the scarers scaring 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
