The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
