The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
