The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
