The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
