The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
