The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
