The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
