In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
