The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
