The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And our forefathers? 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
