The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
