The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
