The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the rangers ranging 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
