1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
