۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 On couches facing one another; 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. – 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
